7 July 2011 The final film, Part 2 of the seventh and last book, Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows will be screened in a celebrity launch in Leicester Square. Fans from many parts of the world were waiting early in the morning of the red-carpeted world premiere event. Some have been camping for six days. The stars of the film are due to appear during the afternoon in a road adjacent to Trafalgar Square. prior to the evening screening. The Harry Potter film series has grossed nearly 4 billion pounds, the highest amount ever for a film series.

February 2015 J K Rowling's first novel for adults The Casual Vacancy has been adapted for television as a mini series for BBC1 to be screened mid-February.

At last a fine slipcased edition of a Harry Potter book has been produced. Harry Potter and The Philosopher's Stone, Gift Edition is newly published in orange cloth with gilt titles housed in a purple foil-clothed slipcase with line drawing by Jonny Duddle.

December 2016 Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them has just been published. The book marks the screenwriting debut of J.K. Rowling. The newly-released film of the book stars Eddie Redmayne as Newt Scamander.

February 2017 Congratulations to Fantastic Beasts for winning Best Costume Design in the Oscars, the first Harry Potter Film to win an Academy Award.

June 2017 Title added, Journal of University of Exeter Dept.of Classics and Ancient History. Contains text of Oration speech presenting J.K. Rowling with her honorary doctorate and her acceptance speech.
